Wood Badge 2119 . . . . . . 1st Weekend – April 13-15, 2012 . . . . . . . 2nd Weekend – May 4-6, 2012 . . . . . .

Greetings Fellow Scouters!

The staff of WB 2119 would love to see you at next Spring's Wood Badge course!  Wood Badge is the premiere training program for all BSA Scout leaders and we take that responsibility very seriously.  We consider ourselves temporary stewards of this program and have already begun the work necessary to bring the participants who join us, an authentic and quality experience. Wood Badge is about leadership.  It's about heart and it's about fun. The national syllabus is amazing on its own, but here in the Last Frontier Council, we think we can bring it to life for you in a way that makes it even better.  We can tell you with great confidence that this unique training will positively impact not only your Scouting, but potentially every part of your life. That's a big claim to make, but we think we can back it up!  Find someone wearing beads and ask them about their experience!!!

Wood Badge is open to and should be attended by all Cub ScoutBoy ScoutVarsity and Venturing leaders.  It's part of something often referred to as the "Training Continuum."  Once you have taken Fast Start, Youth Protection, This is Scouting, (all offered ONLINE
) and the appropriate Leader Specific training, then you should be thinking about Wood Badge.  We know you agree that the youth whose lives we are lucky enough to touch, deserve trained leaders

Like most things that are worthwhile, Wood Badge has a time and money commitment involved.  We all have families too, so we understand any hesitation on your part when making this decision.  Think about it......check your calenders......talk with your family.......and of course, find out more.  As for us?  Well, we believe in the values of Scouting and we've seen first hand the life changing moments that happen during those two weekends at beautiful Camp George Thomas.  We've already made the commitment.  We are already dedicating our time, energy and resources to WB 2119 and to the 48 people who will take the leap.  In short, we are doing and will continue to do everything in our power to make sure you don't regret saying yes!
