Wood Badge

   for the 21st Century

21st Century Wood Badge is the advanced training program for all Scout leaders in the Boy Scouts of America. This includes all Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity and Venturing leaders, as well as professional scouters. Wood Badge is designed to train adult volunteers using the latest leadership skills and techniques.

Annual Wood Badge Reunion Banquet

Held each January, proceeds help fund scholarships for Wood Badge training.  This year we will be meeting in Lawton for our reunion.
The banquet is set for 6:30 pm on January 28, 2012 at Western Hills Christian Church, 1401 NW 82nd St. Lawton, OK (Click for a Googlemap)

Upcoming Wood Badge Courses / Events

Wood Badge is divided into two parts, the Practical Phase and the Application Phase.  The course is taught at Camp George Thomas.

The Practical Phase in S-8-480-12-1 (WB 21-19) Spring 2012 will be covered over two 3-day weekends in the Spring of 2012: April 13 - 15 & May 4 - 6, 2012.

The Practical Phase in S-8-480-12-2 (WB 21-20) Fall 2012 will be covered over two 3-day weekends in the fall of 2012: September 7 - 9 & September 28 - 30, 2012.

S-8-480-12-1 (WB 21-19) Spring 2012  is $200.00 for early bird payment by Feb 13, 2012 or $225.00 after Feb 13, 2012.
S-8-480-12-2 (WB 21-20) Fall 2012 is $200.00 for early bird payment by July 7, 2012 or $225.00 after July 7, 2012.
